About Olympic Den

Olympic Den opened its doors in September of 1976, in Elmont, Long Island, New York. At that time Olympic Den was a general sporting goods store, specializing in athletic footwear like Nike, Spotbilt, Pro Keds, and Puma. After establishing a name Olympic Den learned that Elmont and the surrounding communities like Garden City, Sewahanka, and Lynbrook had a growing interest in lacrosse. Over the next few years Olympic Den helped develop lacrosse programs throughout Nassau County.

Throughout the years Olympic Den helped revolutionize the Lacrosse Sporting Good Industry. In 1977, Olympic Den was one of only two stores to offer custom dying and strung pockets to lacrosse sticks. With all of the constant changes in lacrosse, Olympic Den has helped distribute Brine, STX, DeBeer, and Warrior products, always giving professional and courteous input to our customers.

Since expanding in the last decade, Olympic Den is not just serving the Nassau County communities, but is now intensifying Suffolk County lacrosse. After moving in 1995 to Franklin Square, and opening doors in 2001 at our second location in Lake Ronkonkoma, Olympic Den is always serving our Long Island communities and expanding youth leagues throughout New York. Olympic Den has been known as the World’s Premier Lacrosse retailer and plans to continue that pride.
